It can be a great money maker. i know people who are making about 100k yearly buying and selling stuff through e-bay.
you also have to be careful. If you dont watch people they will try to get the stuff from you for next to nothing. Like anything else it takes time to learn.

If anything you can get rid of some stuff.
I would suggest you setup a Paypal account, get a digital camera and take some good pics, and when people buy from you, you get their shipments out fast.
Its all about the street credit or I should say eBay credit (Feedback Score)
