Gregg Hall asked:

Now I’m sure that you know what a fashion show is but have you ever been to one? Most of you probably think that fashion shows are only for the rich and I will admit at one time that was mostly true but of late I have seen that change immensely. These fun functions have been geared more for the Rich at “Heart” as well as the Rich of pocket book. So if you enjoy fun, fashion and your own piece of the fashion world then get out and partake in one.

“Why should I attend a fashion show?” Well you don’t exactly need a reason to attend one as long as you remember that they are for everyone and anybody. And if your feeling uneasy and have a fear of the unknown join some friends and attend one or better yet go alone and gather up the fashions for you while making new friends. Need other suggestions, read on

You may not wind up making any purchases from the numerous designers carrying their latest trends but one thing for sure is you will learn what is popular and selling. And this alone is a great reason to attend especially if you own or run a clothing store, fashion store or even a clothing accessory store. You’ll want to make sure your stores are selling what is selling nationally and locally and stocked with the latest fashions. Attending any fashion show can help improve your business, by becoming the store that is sought after for stocking the styles and fashions most wanted in your area.

For those of you that do attend fashion shows for business reasons, including fashion consultants, you may want to think about attending a fashion show. While these shows are basically immersing us with the latest fashion trends, you will also encounter upcoming designers and their fashion trends as well. Fashion shows are a great source of knowledge for improving one’s fashion sense and whether your business is one of providing expert knowledge of fashion or wanting to appear as such, you best attend. Fashion shows are not only formatted for the demur frame but can also focus on plus sized clothing, work wear, swimwear, eveningwear, weddings, men, and teens.

Those businesses’ that are fashion related most definitely benefit from fashion shows. But that is not to say that you cannot also benefit from attending fashion shows. If you want to look your best and learn how to use the latest trends to accomplish that you may want to attend a fashion show. If your wardrobe is lacking or you don’t really know how to put your wardrobe together to make the pieces you purchase work better together and go farther have no fear there is a fashion show out there to help you learn what you need. You will find that the more you attend fashion shows the more your closets begin to work better for.

All learning and business sense aside Fashion Shows are a fun time. And everyone at one time or another is looking to have a good time. Why not incorporate that with a few friends and you have a fun filled fashion experience. Did you know that fashion shows are held in numerous locations as well as formats? Well of course you know they are held in the fashion capital cities like New York and Paris, but these fashion shows can also be held locally. If you’re up for attending these shows in New York, Paris or even at your local shopping mall, a memorable and fun experience will surely be had by all of you.

Remember “Why do I have to attend a fashion show?” Well, you really do not need to have a reason to attend a fashion show. If you want to attend even if it is to see what it is all about you will want to start making plans to attend as soon as possible.

Andrew Regan asked:

Paris fashion week is now over and the latest fashion sensations for the autumn/winter 2006/07 season have been released.

The usual stars of the haute couture collections, such as the John Galliano designs for Christian Dior, did not disappoint. The Dior show was themed around medieval armour and the Italian renaissance, with a touch of Blade Runner thrown in. Helmets encrusted with jewels, glass beads and crystals, with silver foil, bin liners and pennants used to evoke a modernised sense of knights jousting while the ladies of the court, wearing make up influenced by the paintings of Van Eyck and Botticelli, paraded along the cat walk. Armorial style was further enhanced by milliner Stephen Jones who was brought in to create replicas of medieval armour using copper and brass through to even less traditional materials such as latex, beads and feathers.

Kylie Minogue delighted onlookers by gracing the Chanel show catwalk following her recent cancer recuperation. Karl Lagerfeld’s creations did not disappoint either with fantastic modern styled tweed creations, combined with denim boots and jeweled heels, three-quarter length coats, jeweled fingerless gloves which flirtatiously left the models shoulders bare, and tantalizing touches of brocade.

This year men were well represented in the fashion stakes, following on from years of conservative styling. Collections of monochrome suits, surfer style inspired prints and cutting-edge sportswear abounded with unisex portfolios presented in characteristic style by Jean Paul Gaultier, with possible Dior future designer, Kris Van Assche, displaying interchangeable his and hers suits.

Paris fashion is however more eternal than simply the high profile shows. A quick flight to Paris or a trip through the channel tunnel and this style centre of Europe can be within the grasp of any Brit aspiring to a little bit of European chic.

Paris is a fashion Mecca. All year round the styles in Paris are constantly changing, leading the way in clothing trends across the globe, but it is amazing to see this flamboyant city truly come alive with the arrival of the stars and the week long bourgeois festival of fashion turns the spotlight on this region. All the major fashion houses have stores located within the city, with most situated in and around the Champs-Elys

Janice Wee asked:

How do you do that fantasy look seen on some of the summer fashion shows?

2 looks were prevalent. The first is fairy like with white eyeshadow and turquoise liner while the other is rock chick edgy.

For this article, I’ll cover the rock star glam fantasy look for summer. The difference actually lies in the eyes. Ready?

1. Cleanse, tone and moisturize your face.

2. Apply a concealer that is lighter and yellowish over the dark rings under the eyes to neutralize the shadows.

3. Dot a foundation that matches your current skintone (with or without the tan) on forehead, nose, cheeks and jawline and blend in completely with your fingers so the foundation disappears into your skin.

4. Take a large powder brush and dip into your loose powder. Get it in a translucent clear shade or one that matches your skin tone. Dust off the excess powder onto the back of your hand. Then apply the powder over your entire face for a flawless finish.

5. Take a medium shade for your eyeshadow and apply it over your entire eyelid as the base.

6. Apply a liquid eyeliner in a bright metallic shade like cobalt over your upper lashline. Draw the line from inner to outer corner of the eye and thicken the line drastically as you move outwards. Wing out as you go beyond the outer edge of the eye for that exaggerated rock chick look.

7. Apply a glittery makeup over the liner. That glitter give you that fantasy look.

8, Put on false eyelashes. Then apply 3 coats of mascara, separating the lashes with a lash brush or comb and allow the mascara to dry between applications.

9. Apply a light pink blush on the cheeks.

10. Use a lip brush to paint on a rose lipstick for a subtle mouth that complements your dramatic eye makeup.

Alternatively, you could use a metallic eye makeup [http://www.cosmetics-online.net/metallic-eye-makeup.htm] for the eyeshadow and a black eyeliner.

Amy Jarman asked:

Often women do not want to invest in maternity clothes because it feels extravagant to spend a lot of money on something you can only wear for about 6 months. Also, there is a certain stigma to some about wearing some tented dress or obvious maternity support band pant after you have your baby and have not yet lost the “baby fat.” Every woman knows there is nothing worse than being caught in maternity clothes after the baby, or even worse, being mistaken for pregnant when you are not! Fortunately there are some new styles out on the market today, often called transition wear that do not look like maternity clothes and can actually be worn after the baby when you are no longer pregnant but not yet down to your pre-pregnancy size and shape.

Now there are many stylish nursing tops on the market today that are made to double as maternity tops with longer tummy styles and extra stretch in the fabric. Some brands that carry some excellent cross over style maternity tops are Japanese Weekend, Majamas and 1 in the Oven. Most of these maternity and nursing tops are labeled as such and can be worn throughout your pregnancy and afterwards. Often these styles come in

Brand Features of Chanel Handbags

Tina Jane asked:

Brief Introduction of the Brand

Chanel is a prominent Parisian fashion house specializing in luxury goods (haute-couture, ready-to-wear, handbags, perfumery, and cosmetics among others).

In 1909, Gabrielle Chanel opened a small shop on the ground floor of the Balsan’s apartment in Paris – the simple beginnings of what would later become one of the greatest fashion empires in the world. With Arthur Capel (a member of the Balsan men’s group and the only one who worked for a living), Coco struck a relationship with. He saw a great potential businesswoman in Coco and helped her acquire her legendary location at 31 Rue de Cambon in Paris by 1910. Thus founding Chanel Modes.

The brand is now headed by German-born designer Karl Lagerfeld, who also designs for the House of Fendi, as well as his namesake label. Lagerfeld has defined the style and fashion of Chanel as being the five essentials: audacious, perfectionist, unique, passionate, and visionary.

Today Chanel operates boutiques around the world in upscale shopping districts, and hosts its recognized fashion shows among the greatest fashion capitals.

Main Features

Camellia decorated:
It no doubt that Chanel’s special favor to camellia makes it be the No.1 flower in Chanel world. For Gabrielle Chanel, camellia symbolizes something. Maybe just like her Russian lover’s saying: the camellia is the integrated accessory when royalty members appear in a party. Camellia can always give people limitless dreaming space because of the short-time Blossoming.

Signature interlocking double-C logo:
You’ll be attracted by the signature Chanel logo, an interlocking double-C, one facing forwards and the other facing backwards. For example, for Chanel handbags, we can see front embossed CC logo, CC logo charm, even CC logo lining. It always be colored black, silver or gold. All Chanel fans show their crazy love toward the double-C.

Rhombic checked shape:
Due to the elegance of checked handbags, the rhombic checked shape is used on Chanel watches and other leather goods. By well-marked top stitching, its sophisticate appearance makes the shape be the leading of Chanel.

Chanel’s design is filled with multiform elements: restrained, sophisticate, fantastic or gentle, any feelings you can image.
